“Plastics & Rubber Vietnam 2010” to showcase the biggest ever plastics and rubber trade exhibition for the region

Plastics & Rubber Vietnamwill make an impressive comeback in March 2010 featuring the biggest ever opportunity for processors from across Vietnamand its neighboring countries in the regionto discover the best in technology, innovations, state-of-the-art machinery and processing solutions for plastics and rubber.

The host country, Vietnam, is rising in prominence as a global manufacturing center. Its plastics and rubber industries are transforming rapidly to serve an increasingly diversified industrial base. Despite the global economic downturn, Vietnam’s economy is forecast to grow at 4.0% in 2009, recovering further to 6.5% in 2010. The National Assembly has set its sights higher with a targeted GDP growth rate of 6.5% for 2009. The export growth target for 2009 has been set at 13%.

The figures underlines that Vietnam is a promising market for the region’s plastics and rubber processing industry that drives the continuous growth of its export sector, including electronics and automotive among others. These are particularly promoted by the Vietnam government whose policy is set for active development of industrial estates to accommodate the needs of increasing numbers of plastics and rubberprocessors. Plastics & Rubber Vietnam 2010will provide them with the most awaited technology and solutions that will boost their manufacturing efficiency and cost reduction initiatives.

The 2008 edition of Plastics & Rubber Vietnam proved to be a successful platform for the growing industry. It attracted 206 exhibiting companies from 21 countries including groups from Australia, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. With more than 5,500 high-level trade visitor and buyers from 34 countries visiting the trade show, Vietnam has become a regional rising hub for plastics and rubber processing.

With the exhibition space enlarged to 5000sqm, the 3rd edition in 2010 will once again strengthen its unique advantages by providing the most successful platform for exhibiting companies to showcase their latest innovations, state-of-the-art machinery and cost effective processing solutions to processors.

Plastics & Rubber Vietnam 2010will provide an expanded window for aerospace, automotive, precision engineering, electrical and electronics, furniture, medical and healthcare, household goods, packaging, leisure goods, building and construction as well as contract and sub-contracting manufacturing sectors in Vietnam to access the latest plastics and rubber processing, packaging and precision engineering technologies available in the global market.

The event will also feature a lineup of insightful conference and seminar programmes, which will be an ideal platform for delegates to share their expertise and experience. These include industry updates, market trends and business papers to enable plastics manufacturers to keep abreast with the latest developments and innovations; adapt to changes and initiate and spearhead the innovation and creativity through collaborative efforts.
